The regulations show that the new regulations encourage the public to report in any way, and they can also report in real (or name) names. State security agencies also offered high rewards, divided into 4 levels, with the minimum being less than RMB 10,000 and the highest being over 100,000.
Previously, in 2017, the Beijing National Security Bureau had issued a provision of 500,000 reward for reporting.
Analysis: The CCP is trapped in internal and external criseswhite terror
Since the beginning of this year, the CCP has been caught in a crisis at home and abroad. In China, the authorities have implemented a policy of “zeroing out” the epidemic. In many places, the long-term closure of cities has caused serious secondary disasters. People’s grievances are boiling, and many college students in Beijing and citizens of many districts in Shanghai have launched protests; “The information came out frequently. Internationally, the CCP’s expansion and wolf warrior diplomacy have been surrounded by the United States and Western countries.
“With the development of crises inside and outside the CCP’s ruled areas, there are more and more dissatisfaction on the Internet, and it’s a bit overwhelming and can’t be deleted,” Wu Te, an independent commentator in mainland China, told The Epoch Times, “So the CCP wants to expand witch hunts. The scale of the campaign encourages Pink to report online speakers.”
Wu Te said that the new reporting regulations should be implemented from Beijing to the whole country. “This is nothing more than encouraging the whole people to hunt witches, creating a chilling effect and white political terror.”
Chen Daoyin, a Chinese political scientist, also told Free Asia that those in power feel insecure because of fears about the instability of the regime, and respond with extreme methods.
He believes that the issuance of the document is more aimed at internal and internal control. It is actually to encourage people to fight each other, to report, and to achieve the security of rule.
“Catch spies” is the CCP’s tool to suppress the people and purge the party
Whenever there is a ruling crisis in the CCP, a campaign of “catching spies” is launched internally. Tang Jingyuan, a current affairs commentator, told The Epoch Times that as early as the Mao Zedong era, the CCP launched a campaign of “catching spies” to “prevent rape and special agents.” It is a way of diverting the focus of public conflict”.
Tang Jingyuan said, “This method has been used by the CCP many times. The purpose is to prevent and disintegrate all factors that may lead to crowds gathering and triggering mass incidents by vigorously encouraging whistleblowers. Beware of the atomized interpersonal relationships that are on guard, which will help consolidate the CCP’s rule.”
For the party, Tang Jingyuan believes that “the campaign to catch spies has also become a cruel and effective tool for internal fighting. The biggest ‘spy’ caught in the history of the CCP is CCP President Liu Shaoqi.”
Li Zhengxiu, an associate researcher at the Taiwan National Policy Research Foundation, told The Epoch Times, “The CCP hopes to deter officials and not leak state secrets to the outside world, making Xi Jinping lose face. This involves factional struggle within the party, but the new regulations simply cannot. create a deterrent effect.”
Regarding the Ministry of State Security’s remuneration for reporting “acts endangering national security,” Tang Jingyuan said, “In fact, it is a replica of the ‘catch spies’ campaign. This is an important tool and method for the CCP authorities to suppress the people and clean up the party in the face of domestic and foreign difficulties.”
“Jian” is one of the nine genes of the CCP, the people are waking up
Current affairs commentator Wang He analyzed the three reasons for the CCP’s incitement to report to The Epoch Times. He said, first, the CCP encourages reporting throughout its entire history. “Intermediate” is one of the CCP’s nine genes, and it will be adjusted according to the actual situation. Because the “Twenty National Congress” is now the core political activity of the CCP, the Ministry of State Security is now engaged in this, it is a political statement, and it is an occasional work.
Second, it is the manifestation of the CCP’s fear. The so-called “acts endangering national security” should be strictly limited in terms of legislation, but the CCP has generalized it. For example, when Dr. Li Wenliang told the truth about the epidemic in Wuhan, it was also regarded as “endangering national security”. The CCP regards the people as the enemy, and so-called “endangering national security” may occur everywhere. The CCP itself scares itself to sleep.
Third, the CCP itself is afraid, and it also creates fear for the people. Infiltration, alienation, and disintegration are the old routines of the CCP. It regards the people as the enemy, and requires people to doubt, report, and fear each other. Everyone is in danger, and the CCP has achieved its goal.
However, Wang He believes that although there are “little pinks” who have been deceived, public opinion is generally disgusted by this reporting behavior. In the current political climate, although the CCP is very closed, and there is not much that can be disclosed publicly, the vast majority of people should understand it in their hearts.
He said that the Chinese Communist Party’s intimidation methods can no longer scare the Chinese people. More and more people are sober, and more and more people dare to speak up and resist. At present, nearly 400 million people have quit the CCP on the Epoch Times website, and the tide of quitting the CCP is breaking the foundation of the CCP.
